A Letter to No One
05:20
|
|
||
Lately things just don't seem the same
I've had all these thoughts racing through my brain
I keep wondering am I right or wrong?
Is all I can do is just write this sad song?
People have changed since I've been in school
They're taking their lives and rewriting the rules
It's like everybody's walking around with no hope, just hopeless
How did misery and depression become so contagious?
Tell me why?
I'm so sick and tired of everyone putting each other down
What happened to the good old days when we just goofed around?
Just little children smiling, laughing, and free
How amazing the simple things, that's all we could see
We played our little hearts out, we played till the dusk
We didn't want to go inside, but our parents said we must
Talking about things we had no idea what we were saying
Just planning the next day and looking forward to playing
And now that I'm older, we all I know I must work
Dealing with all the headaches and trying to ignore the jerks
Hoping the work week will come to an end
Looking for someone I can call my true friend
People look at me weird for the things that I say
But it's just the child inside, just asking to play
Just because we're older doesn't mean we're that different
People are so close-minded and act so ignorant
(Make it stop)
I just want it all to be over

It Ain't That Bad
04:50
|
|
||
Times can be tough
But fighting back can be just as rough
Oh you're sick and tired of struggling
You've just had enough
You enjoy this town
But loneliness can get you down
It's creepin and lurkin
When your friends and lovers aren't around
Don't be sad
Enjoy the life you have
Cause things could be worse
But they ain't that bad
You ain't had love
And you're worried when it will come
Maybe when you're searchin
Or maybe when you're done
When will you be pleased?
With the job that has squeezed
Every last bit of life
That you're beggin on your knees
(Chorus)
Words can hurt
From the people walk this earth
But just shrug off your shoulders
Cause they'll be the ones in the dirt
People can make you dull
Take advantage of your kind soul
But don't stop givin
Everything that makes you whole
(Chorus)

The Road
04:29
|
|
||
And if I fall
Will you lend a hand?
Will you lift me up,
Or leave me lyin in the sand?
And if I stumble
Will you guide me through?
Will you be my eyes and ears,
Or let the pain ensue?
The road is long
The path is worn
Many have traveled here
But they've fallen in the storm
The road will strike you down
Tie you up and push you round
Chew you up and grind you down
Leave your body to the hounds
But baby don't worry
Keep a friend by your side
Pick you up when you're fallin
You're brothers till you die
If you find love
Don't be a fool
Band together
And keep each other cool

Cheatin Woman
03:58
|
|
||
Well I used to be a lover but she broke my heart
Well I only had such little time to play the part
But the tears still ran down my face
She took the bus on out of there oh so fast
She must've known that once I found out I'd whoop her ass
Her and her lover too
I told her I ain't dealin with no cheatin woman
I told her I ain't gonna be no second man
So you best be on your way
Hit it boys
I got a call the other night ring a ding
Well it was her lover on the line and the words did sting
When I found out it was my good friend
I asked him what he's doing with a cheatin woman
He said he was oh so sorry what can I say
I was thinking with my dick today
Hit it boys
Well hey there fellas
I got a little advice for ya
Just a little bit of somethin to say
Somethin about them cheatin women
Cause you know they so foul
And they so evil
But here's what I got to say
Don't be dealing with no cheatin woman
Don't be dealin with her
Don't be dealing with no cheating woman
Cause they'll ruin your soul
Hit it boys
One more time

Foot Stompin
02:48
|
|
||
Well that foot stompin music is what I like to hear
Every single day and month and every single year
It takes away my troubles
It takes away my fears
I hold it close to my heart
I hold it so dear

A Lover's Waltz
05:13
|
|
||
I think you're pretty and I would like to know
Do you have a lover? Or would you like to go
On a walk in the city and enjoy the big bright lights
Shinin on your pretty face makes you glow in the night
Well some people try to put me down
They say I just ain't good enough
For a girl like yourself
But you know what I tell them?
Let me live my life!
I'm a little nervous and I swear I don't know why
Every day when I'm getting home I start rehearsing my lines
Cause I never know when you'll show up, I never know when you'll cross my path
I just need to take a breath, say my lines, and just relax
And we're dancing
Under the moonlight
We're gonna dance this night away
And we're kissing
Under the starlight
Don't want this night to fade away

A Story
05:05
|
|
||
Tell me a story about a girl
With long black hair and plenty of curls
A beautiful dress and smile that shines
You and me we'd do just fine
You and me we'd walk for miles
Hand in hand and sharing smiles
Tell me a story about that girl
Maybe life will give it a whirl
And when the train goes pulling down the track
The outlaws are riding planning their next attack
And will you go down with me?
With a spark and a crash of violent epiphany
And when the ships go sailing down the sea
Will you be on the deck holding hands with me?
I hear the storm clouds roaring in the skies
Say your last words, this ship is our imminent demise
A car crash, a plane ride, in some way we gotta die
Will you be there?
My heart stops, it skips a beat, I can't seem to feel my feet
Will you be there?
Running through a stormy rain, a bolt of lightning knows my name
Will you be there?
I grow old, my hair is grey, will you be here to stay?
Will you be there?

Gone Forever
02:54
|
|
||
Mercy mercy
Mercy on my soul
The road's been rough
It's taking it's toll
That girl's put a knife through my heart
Can you mend it Lord?
Can you make me whole?
Oh I thought that love would last forever
Oh I thought that love would never fade
I hoped and prayed that that girl would never leave
But she's gone forever
Take this heavy heavy load
Take it off my back
My boots are worn and I can hear my bones crack
You used to set the burning flame in my heart
You stole my fire baby and this kindle won't start
(Chorus)

Comatose
04:29
|
|
||
Numb
Numb to the core
Perfect
Like it was before
Hate
Hate for the world
Lies
The sounds only distort
And these things I feel
The struggle is real
Not everything is good
But I wish they could
(Coma)
Falling
Falling fast asleep
(Come)
Dreaming
But never waking up

Life in D Major
09:32
|
|
||
Life is a symphony
And with each and every step you take, each movement is arbitrary
Some can be happy and some are sad, just depends on what keys you have
And what doors you will open, what lies behind can be good or bad
I wanna be an astronaut floating to infinity
To escape this hurting life and all of its absurdity
The sun and the moon and the stars can dance the night away
As i conduct the score of this musical play
Don't let the notes take control of your mind and your body
You write this masterpiece, don't listen to all the negativity
Cause they will bend and they will ring, but all you need to do is sing
And all the notes will fall in place, they will bow and see you as their king
Chorus
And now my song is complete
As I lay here in disbelief
My body's lying on the ground
Oh hear I come I'm skyward bound
Life is a symphony
Chorus

Death in A Minor
05:04
|
|
||
I've been chained in the dungeons
I've been rotting here for days
I've got blisters on my hands and fingers
And all ll I can do is kneel to pray
All the dark shadows
Visit me before I sleep
And I beg and borrow
For my soul to keep
My mind is unstable
It is ready to break
The light is evil
I will never wake
All the dark shadows
Visit me before I sleep
And I beg and borrow
For my soul to keep
All the dark shadows
Visit me before I sleep
And it takes all the strength in my bones
To ensure I don't weep
